Spring is here at long last and this was going to be a
lovely blog about hyacinths and all things ‘vernal’. We had a particular
magnificent spring flower display in our tubs outside the shop, (even though I
say so myself), which I was going to photograph! It would have tied in beautifully with our
hyacinth vases
and this charming fabric from Sanderson’s ….However the daffs needed deadheading and the hyacinths had all got the droops so it didn’t happen! It was also largely because we have been very busy with some exciting new jobs.
News on the shop front – we are delighted to have been asked
to be a ‘stockist partner’ for Whitehead furniture which means we will have a
selection of their upholstered furniture to see and sit on in the showroom. They
are a lovely family firm. I first came across them many years ago when I
worked for ‘Hatchets Interiors’.
I’m having problems deciding what fabrics to have them
covered in. Do I go for something safe (possibly dull?) that goes with
everything, or something eye catching with wow factor?... Either way, a nice problem
to have and if I don’t get on with it , we won’t get any furniture. Watch this
space.
